We took a trip to Haworth (home of the Brontes), had a quick look around the village and then thought we'd have a small walk. Haworth is a really sweet, quirky little village; quintessential Yorkshire (there was a cricket match in full swing on the village green and a ukulele convention taking place as well - I kid you not). The main pull of attraction is obviously the Brontes. We didn't go into the museum and the church was closed, but we did have a quick look around the The Cabinet of Curiosities - apparently the place where Branwell Bronte bought the drugs that would end his life. Cheery stuff!
Nonetheless, we did it and it was absolutely lush - Yorkshire really is one of the most beautiful parts of the country and also one of the most random. On our way back to the village we could hear bagpipes. We located the culprit....someone on top of a hill playing his pipes without a care in the world - as you do.
Back in Hawarth we headed straight to the pub for a well needed drink, before heading home.
